Today in Lifebeat Food and projo.com/food, Fluke Wine, Bar & Kitchen shared a recipe for a Duotone Daiquiri.

As promised, here is another cocktail recipe from Fluke and cocktail expert Jerri Banks.

Green Flash

  • 1.5 ounces scallion-infused vodka (see note)
  • 2 ounces tomatillo juice (see note)
  • 1 oz Lime Juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 sprig Cilantro
  • Glass: Martini with Black Salt Rim (see note)
  • Garnish: Cilantro Sprig, lime pinwheel
  1. In a mixing glass, muddle cilantro with a muddler or wooden spoon to release the oils from the herb.
  2. Add scallion vodka, lime and tomatillo juices, pinch of salt and ice.
  3. Shake and strain well (twice) into black salt-rimmed glass.
  • Notes: To infuse vodka, Fluke bartenders just drop a few scallion pieces into vodka and leave it overnight. That provides plenty of oomph.
  • Tomatillos are fruits that look like green cherry tomatoes wrapped in parchment.
  • Black salt is a specialty salt and adds color and flavor.
